Our modern lifestyle often leads to, in varying degrees and forms, mental and emotional stress, tension, and agitation. This can eventually unfold in the body and mind in harmful ways. The ancient yogis understood this and developed effective techniques for balancing emotional health and cultivating a clear, tranquil mind, leading to greater contentment and a richer life.
In this workshop, using the therapeutic tools of Viniyoga, you will learn a variety of strategies and techniques to decrease muscular tension, gain self-awareness, affect thought patterns, and increase feelings of well-being. The class will include lecture and discussion, as well as practices using postures, breathing, meditation, and reflection.
Viniyoga is a comprehensive and authentic transmission of the teachings of yoga and yoga therapy originating from T. Krishnamacharya and T.K.V. Desikachar.
